Forte Strino a Vermiglio
In Val di Sole, in the heart of Trentino, amidst mountains, meadows and streams, at an altitude of 1,200 metres, lies the village of Vermiglio. The Vermiglio valley lies on the border between Trentino and Lombardy and has been an important transit route since prehistoric times. The place name of Vermiglio (from the Latin word armilla, armillae, i.e. a wide iron ring used as a border marker), indicates its border position. Situated a few kilometres from the Tonale Pass, the village of Vermiglio consists of three main hamlets: Fraviano, Pizzano and Cortina, each crossed by a stream of the same name.
Museo della Guerra Fronte Adamello

Its aims include the conservation, study and valorisation of the material, bibliographic, archival and photographic evidence of the Great War fought in the Adamello-Presanella Group. In addition to the permanent collection, temporary exhibitions are also held.
