The portal of Sacri Monti of Piedmont and Lombardy
The nine Sacri Monti of Piedmont and Lombardy are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The portal promotes their inimitable artistic, historical and natural heritage and also enhances them from a tourist point of view.
Our collaboration began in 2018 with the design of the portal, and continued with the creation of the dedicated app. We are currently working on the new UNESCO Creative Cities Network project. The objectives are: to offer new digital and technological services for the tourist promotion not only of the Sacri Monti but also of the whole territory; to reach new audiences such as families, young people, slow and local tourism; and to increase national and international tourism in order to attract and retain visitors in the area for longer.

PROMOTING ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL HERITAGE
With the portal and the app, we have created an exciting journey through the priceless cultural, artistic, historical and natural heritage of these places, with themed itineraries, high quality images, tourist and geographical maps and detailed information that can also be downloaded.
New themed tours
We are planning new tours located in the Sacri Monti area to promote local tourism, using virtual reality and navigation techniques on panoramic photographs of the various points of interest.
Travel planner & recommender
These are ideal tools to help visitors in the initial stages of organising their trip and then very useful during their stay to have a detailed and personalised itinerary. In the personalised itinerary, the visitor selects and saves his favourite points of interest.
Recommendation algorithms based on AI techniques suggest personalised content to the user.
dedicated App
The app dedicated to the Sacri Monti is a multimedia guide that accompanies visitors along interactive multimedia itineraries. It offers themed itineraries with audio in several languages, enriched with 360° photos, aimed at a very wide audience, from art lovers to families. The visitor is involved and receives detailed information on the history, culture and art of these unique sites, which have the UNESCO World Heritage designation.
Integration with the tourism portal italia.it
Its integration with the Tourism Digital Hub Italia.it tourism portal provides national and international relevance to the portal's content.
We also offer valid tools that allow the publisher to decide which content to include according to its needs and strategies. In this way, the portal is an essential tool for the collection of data on the territory to be transmitted to the italia.it tourism portal.
InfoPoint
With the touch screen totem application, we offer the visitor landmarks along the themed routes, creating a direct contact to explore the area and points of interest. The graphic design is coordinated with the portal and the content is managed by the portal.
DATA ANALYSIS AND MONITORING
Thanks to the statistical data collected through access and use of the app, portal and infopoints, we can create a dashboard to monitor tourist flows, allowing operators to develop strategies for access and sustainability.

This section brings together the educational projects on the heritage of the Sacri Monti carried out in recent years and offers students, teachers and families a set of tools to imagine, plan and carry out various educational activities centred on the places, history and landscapes of the 9 Sacri Monti of Piedmont and Lombardy.
