The NOIS PLUS platform, created for the Municipality of Silanus with funding from Sardegna Ricerche, enables tourism and cultural operators and organisations to create immersive and sensory interactive experiences independently and without specialised technical skills, using the latest Internet of Things, augmented reality and virtual reality technologies.
Local administrators will be able to analyse statistical data to monitor usage and plan future territorial marketing activities. The platform helps to link tourism promotion and cultural offers, as well as to promote the development of alternative tourism that sustainably promotes the artistic, historical, cultural and craft heritage of the territory.

Function
The visitor follows the tour route and, guided by the app, encounters interactive stations offering immersive and augmented reality experiences.
Technologies
The platform provides the tools (Interactive Kit) to independently create, prototype, manage and promote online services and tangible interactive experiences. Thanks to sophisticated artificial intelligence algorithms, users receive personalised suggestions on points of interest and activities to be carried out during the visit. Experience models are replicable.

Augmented reality
It creates immersive experiences by connecting the real and digital worlds. By framing an image or marker of a point of interest with a smartphone, the visitor receives contextual information such as text, images or stories.
SENSOR-ACTIVATED INTERACTIVE AUDIO
As visitors approach an artefact, they can hear a story being told or a contextual sound or piece of music.

EDITING tool
Thanks to the editing tool, content and itineraries can be added to the existing devices, allowing local curators to update and enrich the offer in the long term and to make the most of the existing infrastructure, ensuring a higher value from the initial investment.
