The MAG (Upper Garda Museum), a point of reference in the Trentino museum scene, presented the renovated art gallery with a new layout, paying attention to the smallest details, involving the public of enthusiasts in the morning and opening its doors to families in the afternoon.
An experiment that was a complete success: in the morning, the itinerary of the exhibition illustrating the evolution of figurative culture in the Lake Garda area between the 14th and 19th centuries, enlivened by the music of the Conservatory students, a very impressive combination!
In the afternoon, the atmosphere changed: games and activities for children make the museum welcoming and accessible to all.
In terms of accessibility, the project "Museo Alto Garda without barriers. Accessible, interactive and multilingual cultural experiences" is starting. A new step towards a museum without barriers, funded by the Bando Caritro Digitale for Culture 2024.
We are proud to participate in this project with our MOBIcult app, which makes the museum experience accessible to everyone. In collaboration with the Ente Nazionale Sordi di Trento (ENS), AbilNova and FunnelArt, we will develop digital tools to make the use of content more effective and to make the visit accessible to deaf, blind and visually impaired visitors.
In particular, the project will create:
- Video tour in Italian Sign Language (LIS): this will offer video descriptions in LIS to make the tour accessible to deaf people (ENS).
- Tactile tour for the visually impaired: for each room, a representative work will be selected, described in audio and touched by the visitor to provide an immersive sensory experience (AbilNova).
- Virtual tour of the Torre Apponale, the Keep and the new layout of the Art Gallery Museum of Riva del Garda (FunnelArt).
See you at the MAG for an engaging and immersive experiences for everyone!
