New TreviLab App at SFSCon

On 13th November 2020, we presented the new TreviLab app at the South Tyrol Free Software Conference. SFScon is one of Europe’s most established annual conferences on Free Software held at the NOI TECH PARK in Bolzano.

The new App allows visitors to use the services provided by the  TreviLab cultural center. It informs about all the events scheduled, guides visitators by using a map or augmented reality, taking them to the exact point where a book or a publication is located and provides info on its availability.

We explained how we used beacons to localize users inside the Center, the path computing algorithms used to indentify the indoor path to follow and the use of augmented reality functionalities leading users interactively.

It was live in streaming on www.sfscon.it, you can watch our speech below.
